Overview of childcare
Daycare portal
The Kita-Portal Jena is a central information and registration system for child day care in Jena. It offers you a comprehensive overview of all kindergartens and day care centers in the city. Parents can register their child in selected facilities via their own user account and receive feedback on the status of their registration via the system. Further detailed information can be found in the Kita-Portal Jena under FAQ.
Child day care
The childminding team places children with a suitable childminder (childminder). Placement can be made on application from the time of the child's birth. Parents are entitled to information and advice on all aspects of child day care before submitting an application. As a result of an individual consultation or by e-mail, parents receive information about the places available with a childminder at the desired time of admission.
Individual childminders can also be registered directly via the Kita-Portal .

Creation and continuation of the "Child protection folder - recommendations and handouts for the city of Jena"
In cooperation with the Youth and Education Department/Coordinating Advisory Service and the Youth Welfare Department/Early Help Department, a compendium of materials on the topic of child protection has been created. Working papers from the further training courses and important documents are brought together in the child protection folder. These are intended to serve as a guide for educators when implementing the protection mandate and in the event of child endangerment in child daycare facilities/child daycare. This folder is a recommendation and supplement to the child protection documents or documents of the corresponding quality management system provided by the respective provider. Interested parties are welcome to contact the coordinating specialist advisory service.
