Youth association work

In youth associations and youth groups, youth work is organized by young people themselves, jointly shaped and co-responsible. Youth associations are a place where young people organize themselves. In the individual associations and groups, young people share common interests. Youth associations and their associations express and represent the concerns and interests of young people. Here, young people and young adults take their leisure activities into their own hands, organize themselves, volunteer and create offers and projects on their own responsibility.

The city of Jena supports the youth association work of the Democratic Youth Ring (DJR) as well as the sporting youth association work of the Jena City Sports Association (SSB).
