Special project-related support for voluntary work
The new Thuringian Volunteering Act, which came into force on 01.01.2025, aims to provide greater support for voluntary work in Thuringia. The city of Jena therefore has additional funds available to support voluntary work. In this context, it is once again possible to submit applications for projects to promote charitable and voluntary work.
Modalities
The funding is intended exclusively for the promotion of voluntary work.
The grants are awarded in particular for
-
Measures to recruit volunteers,
-
Recognition of voluntary work,
-
Public relations work to promote voluntary work,
-
training and further education,
-
support for the development and supervision of networking projects and
-
Promotion of innovative model projects.
Applications must relate to volunteer projects taking place in 2025. The relevant groups of people and objectives must be described in detail. The application should focus on a specific subject area (e.g. sport, nature, integration, etc.). Special consideration will be given to the promotion of youth engagement.
Corresponding applications can be submitted by clubs, associations, churches and recognized religious communities, foundations and corporations under public law for the year 2025 up to and including 22.07.2025. In deviation from the usual regulation, clubs that are already organized in associations can also submit an independent application. The City of Jena's Volunteer Advisory Board decides on the award.
The application form and the award principles can be found under Links.
